Image Usage Licence

A standalone licence for work that already exists: which images, what the licensee may do with them, in which media and territory, for how long, exclusive or not, with what credit, whether they may sublicense, for what fee, and what happens when it expires. This is the document photographers most often skip and most need — it is what turns "can we use this on the website" into something with a boundary, and it is what lets you license the same image again later without a dispute.

Frequently asked

Why licence separately instead of putting it in the shoot agreement?

Because uses change. A client who commissioned social media images later wants them on packaging, and a fresh licence is a clean answer to that — and a second fee. It also covers images made before any agreement existed.

Is this legal advice?

No. Licensing terms and what they mean vary by jurisdiction; this records the deal you struck.
