Answer Library & Word-Limit Fitter
Every funder asks you to describe your organisation, and every funder sets a different limit — a hundred words for one letter of inquiry, two hundred and fifty for another, five hundred for a full proposal. Rewriting the same paragraph to length is pure waste. Keep your narrative here instead, in the eleven categories applications actually use, at up to three lengths, and let it fit each one. The fitter drops whole trailing sentences to reach a limit and never rewrites a word you wrote — no paraphrasing, no synonym substitution, nothing that could quietly change a claim you are accountable for. If even a single sentence exceeds the limit it refuses to trim and tells you how much you need to cut by hand, because a grant answer sliced off mid-clause is worse than no answer. Blocks can carry placeholders that pull straight from your organisation profile, so a figure you update once is right everywhere.

Does it rewrite or shorten my sentences?
Never. It only selects which of your whole sentences to keep. Rewording a grant answer is not a formatting decision — it can change a commitment you will be held to — so the tool will decline and hand the problem back rather than take that liberty.
How does it count words?
The way funders do: whitespace-separated tokens, counted over characters rather than bytes so accented and non-Latin text counts correctly. It reports a character count too, since some funders limit characters instead.
What happens to a placeholder I haven't filled in?
It stays visible as a NEEDS YOU marker. It is never replaced with a blank, a zero or a guess.
