Powder Coating Quote
Quote a powder-coating job from the numbers you already know: the surface area of one part, how many parts are on the order, your coating cost per square foot, your labour rate, the prep and masking time, any rack or setup fee, and a waste allowance for overspray and rejects. It returns the coated area after waste, the material and labour cost, the total job cost, the cost per part, and a suggested price at the margin you want to hold.

Frequently asked
What does the waste allowance do?
It scales the area you actually pay to coat. Overspray, reclaim losses, and re-coats mean you buy more powder than the bare part area — a 10% allowance coats 264 sq ft of a 240 sq ft order.
Is the suggested price a markup or a margin?
A margin. Total cost is divided by (1 − margin ÷ 100), so a 35% target means coating cost is 65% of the price you quote. Marking cost up by 35% would leave you short.
Are powder prices built in?
No. There are no built-in prices, rates, or fees anywhere in this tool — every dollar figure is one you enter, so the quote reflects your shop and your supplier.
